Recurring Structure of Our Universe
Our galaxy was created after the Bang. Its temperature has decreased ever since. During this cooling process its energy condensed. Radiation, subatomic particles, plasma, hydrogen, helium, various chemical elements, planets, stars and galaxy successively evolved. The universe has had only one type of constituent - the energy with its derivatives, and only one form of structure - a group of energy clusters moving towards "certain points in space". These "point in space" can be massive energy clusters like the Earth, the Sun or Black Hole, or else non-substantial centers of gravity of a number of small clusters like that of a Double Star. Orbits of revolution are elliptical. The distances between orbits are not random, but are governed by quantum physics and mathematical laws. In short, all matters from atoms to our galaxy have been created in processes of similar nature and have followed the same dynamic patterns. The present shapes of atoms and galaxy are in variety because they were created in different point in space and evolved through different lapses of time.
Old Chinese philosophy has conceptualized the universe constituents into Beijing and Nothingness:
- The Being - representing basic substances, energy clusters, super-strings, and sources of radiation. It is also called matters, hardware, or "1"; and
- The Nothingness - representing the relationship between basic substances, distances between basic substances (empty spaces), orders and arrangement of energy clusters, and their mutual influence and "message" transmission, including radiation, gravity attraction, electromagnetic reaction, and internal strong and weak forces within atomic nuclei. It is also given the names of physical rules, software, or "0".
The Being and Nothingness are a pair of contradictory opposites, however, they often joint hands to promote creditable accomplishment.
Since atoms and our universe are made of the same material, of the same structure, but different in scale, it would be natural to predict that, inside the atomic nuclei, still smaller components may exist. Scientists (e.g. in CERN) spare no efforts no efforts to track down more and more components, other than atoms, protons, electrons and quark. one by one, until perhaps finally they get to the energy level or super-strings.
The limited scope of this articles is dedicated to provide a picture of two fractals of recurring processes and disclose the embedded philosophy behind contemporary S & T.:
- The first kind of fractal is biological and human civilization development. Animals and human beings emerged on earth. They are killing on another competing for resources. Humans even exterminate their civilizations with massive killing weapons. There are many civilizations and biological species in development. Old civilizations were perished and new re-emerged more or less on the basic of the old patterns. The processes are recurring on a global scale incessantly throughout the Earth's history.
- The second kind of fractal is cosmic evolution. A black hole explodes, emitting enormous energy into deep space. In the following tens of billion years the radiation cools down into galaxies and subsequently freezes into systems of star, dwarf stars, dead stars and dark matters. They cluster to form secondary black holes that will explode again. The processes recurs in the universe and goes on forever.
The universe probably began from nowhere. It does not seem to have an end.
There remain some basic questions yet unanswered. Why did cosmic energy exist in the first place? What kind of disturbance started the super-string vibrations? What decides the physical constants like Planck's constant, the mass and charge of a microscopic particle, the gravitational constant, the electromagnetic constants? As options vary, no conclusion has yet been drawn. Our guess, at this point in time, is that energy, rules, super-string vibrations, and physical constants may be the intrinsic features of the Conceptual Universe. In any event, until scientists acquire thorough knowledge about the universe, we are incapable of giving satisfactory answers on these issues.
